When Wayne, a struggling singer, crosses paths with washed-up legend Claude Allen, they embark on a journey to Nashville in search of redemption. Despite facing rejection for their pitched song, Wayne ingeniously finds a way to release it to the public, not for his own glory but to reignite Claude’s fading musical dreams.

Directed by William Wages and co-written with Phillip Bellury, the film delves into Wages’ early inspiration for filmmaking and his eventual recognition by the American Society of Cinematographers with a Lifetime Career Achievement Award.

Featuring a stellar cast including Beau Bridges, Rob Mayes, TJ Power, and more, with a cameo by Grammy-winning artist Pam Tillis, the film’s title, derived from one of its character’s song lyrics, intrigues viewers. Beau Bridges’ prominent presence on the movie poster adds to the allure.

Set against the backdrop of Nashville’s vibrant streets, though filmed in Columbus, Georgia, the movie captures the essence of hope and music. With live performance scenes and a soundtrack featuring country music, including a title track performed by Lee Brice, the film promises an authentic musical experience.

“The Neon Highway” follows Wayne and Claude’s pursuit of a second chance in the music industry, navigating through a changed landscape. With original music by Grace Asbury and a score by jazz musician Arturo Sandoval, the film highlights the resilience and passion of its characters.

Produced by Stratton Leopold and presented by Mountain Movies, “The Neon Highway” premieres in Nashville on March 13 before its theatrical release on March 15. With its nationwide release, the film aims to resonate with audiences across the American Heartland, celebrating the enduring power of music in our lives.
