The manga series “16bit Sensation,” conceived by Misato Mitsumi, Tatsuki Amazuyu, and Tamiki Wakaki, gave birth to a doujinshi after its initial release in December 2016. Following this, Studio Silver made the exciting announcement of an anime adaptation based on the doujinshi.
The inaugural episode of “16bit Sensation: Another Layer” will be available internationally at the following times. It will be broadcasted on various Japanese TV networks, including TOKYO MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, BS11, and more. Furthermore, Crunchyroll will provide streaming access for English-speaking, Latin American, and European regions.
The anime’s opening theme, titled “65535,” will be performed by Shoko Nakagawa.
Episode 1 of “16bit Sensation: Another Layer” will introduce us to the story’s protagonist, Konoha Akisato. She is an illustrator with a deep passion for bishoujo and bishoujo games. To fulfill her dream of creating a bishoujo game, she joins a company. However, the company is more inclined towards modern gaming, such as social games, leaving Konoha as a sub-illustrator.
One day, Konoha decides to purchase a classic bishoujo game from a local game shop owner. Upon opening the package, she is enveloped in a brilliant light and finds herself transported back in time to the year 1992, the heyday of bishoujo games. She joins a clandestine game company and embarks on her journey to create her bishoujo game, alongside characters from the original manga series. However, she faces the challenge of outdated technology that doesn’t meet her modern standards, making her path to success a challenging one.
