Gadar 2 movie

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel are reuniting with their iconic personas, Tara Singh and Sakeena, in Gadar 2, resurrecting the cherished roles two decades after the sensational success of the original Gadar film. This time, Tara Singh finds himself in a confrontational stance against the Pakistani military, driven by his paternal instincts to protect his son Jeete (Utkarsh Sharma). The movie is primed to be a delightful potpourri of entertainment, as Deol gears up to once again deliver resonating dialogues that prompt enthusiastic whistles from the audience, including the ever-popular, “Hindustan zindabad tha, zindaba hai, zindabad rahega.”

Under the adept direction of Anil Sharma, the film’s release coincides with the unveiling of OMG 2, featuring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi. Yet, riding on the coattails of its predecessor’s immense popularity, Gadar 2 has already secured a triumphant position at the box office. Impressively, the movie has preemptively sold a staggering 141,500 tickets for its opening day across esteemed national cinema chains such as PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis. Notably, it’s even posed a formidable challenge to Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, a film currently enjoying a prosperous theatrical run. In fact, Gadar 2’s advance ticket sales in traditional single-screen theaters have outperformed those of this year’s biggest hit, Pathaan. Esteemed film trade analyst Taran Adarsh has forecasted a grand opening collection of Rs 35 crore for the film.

Reflecting on his character Tara Singh at the 2023 Jagran Film Festival, Sunny Deol enthusiastically shared, “Tara Singh embodies our very own Hulk, Superman. Every individual desires to witness the strength of Hulk and the prowess of Superman. He believes that the hero on the silver screen will rectify all that is amiss. Just as there exist Marvel Comics superheroes, we have our own Tara Singh. These powers are not cultivated through physical training, but are rather rooted in emotional might.”
