Set in the year 2071 where the world has been decimated by toxic air pollution, only around one percent of the population has survived and a strict social class now exists. The survival of humanity depends on the Black Knights – a team of delivery drivers.

Netflix has had a successful year, particularly with Korean productions such as Kill Boksoon, Jung_E, Physical: 100, and more to come. Although the streaming service is known for its Korean adaptations, it also occasionally delivers exceptional sci-fi content from the South Korean industry. Silent Sea, which premiered in 2021, was a huge hit and arguably one of the best K-dramas on Netflix in recent years. Another remarkable sci-fi/dystopian thriller titled Black Knight seems to be coming out this year.

Black Knight is an upcoming South Korean TV series, written and directed by Cho Ui Seok. It is based on a well-known webtoon titled Delivery Knight by Lee Young Gyun, which was aired from 2016 to 2019 before being adapted in 2021. Set in the year 2071, the series takes viewers to a dystopian world where air pollution has wiped out almost the entire population. Only 1% of the survivors reside in advanced shelters, but they cannot survive without respirators. Delivery knights are the only ones willing to risk their lives to bring respirators to people amid frequent battles with crime lords.
