Batman fans are gearing up for the release of the Caped Crusader’s latest animated movie, Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham. Based on the three-part comic book series of the same name, many are wondering exactly when they will be able to get their hands on the film. Here is what we know about its release date, cast, and the story that will be told.

Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham will be released on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. It will be available to purchase digitally through Prime Video, Apple TV, the Google Play Store, and Vudu. 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray physical copies are also available for pre-order at major retailers.

For fans in the U.K., it seems you can purchase Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham a day earlier than those in the United States, as it has a U.K. release date of Monday, March 27, 2023.

This marks David Giuntoli’s second outing as the voice of Batman and Bruce Wayne, following his debut in Batman: Soul of the Dragon (2021). He is joined by a returning Brian George, who reprises his role as Alfred after previously voicing the butler in Batman: The Killing Joke, and Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Tati Gabrielle is a newcomer to the DC animated world, and recently earned praise for her performance in Netflix original series Kaleidoscope. Navid Negahban, meanwhile, joins the DC animated film as Ra’s al Ghul, following his performance as the villain in 2022 video game, Gotham Knights.

Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham combines the world of Batman with the horror fiction of renowned author H.P. Lovecraft. This DC Elseworlds event sees Bruce Wayne return to 1920s Gotham City, after bringing a disaster to a close out on the icy ocean before it could ever take hold. With an ancient evil awoken, however, he is the only person who can save his city from ultimate destruction.
